Overwatch is about sixty years into the long run of a fictionalized Earth, thirty years once the resolution of what’s known as the “Omnic Crisis.” Before the Omnic Crisis, humanity had been during a golden age of prosperity and technology development. The world organization quickly fashioned Overwatch, a world task force to combat this threat and restore order.
